After meeting in college at Iowa State we’ve been fortunate to watch our relationship grow-up as a part of our lives. In the last ten years we’ve moved in together, gotten married, been without a job, and gone on too many other adventures to count.
But through it all we’ve constantly talked about what matters to us, what we don’t want, and how we can help each other be the best versions of ourselves.
Today, that means working together to take the 80’s suburban Minneapolis, MN home that Stasia grew up in and make it our own. So far we’ve learned about how to use A LOT of tools, to stretch our budget, and how to successfully (if sometimes barely) live through the long process of renovation.
Our goal here at Haroldson House is to show others that you can absolutely love the home you have, no matter how fancy or simple think it is now, by adding in character, thoughtful design, and a whole lot of fun!
Stasia is our lead designer and is definitely the one between the two of us who can be trusted to keep things organized and on time. As a CPA by day, home design enthusiast by night, and cat enthusiast always, she combines excellent taste with an uncanny ability to spot a good idea before everyone else.
She is also proud ISU Cyclone who has a natural talent for making people feel comfortable and keeping the laughter going. She is our family CFO and is definitely the one we turn to for organization and getting things done! Without her, Josh wouldn’t have accomplished anything he lists below in his bio (Ed Note by Josh: This is 100% true).

Josh takes the lead on most of the building here at Haroldson House. It’s not that he has any experience with it, but he is the one who is dumb enough to think that this project “…is going to be a piece of cake” and persistent enough to push through the dip when things take a turn towards, “…this looks awful”.
Outside of pretending he’s a contractor, Josh loves telling stories as a photographer and through his career in marketing which has amazingly led him to do some fun projects with places like Lands’ End, Food and Wine, the Grand Ole Opry, and Sun Country Airlines. If you need a good metaphor for anything (especially if didn’t ask for one) Josh is your man.
